Overview & Responsibilities

Working as part of a global team this role will lead the on the ground delivery of commercial product training to Rackers as part of their onboarding journey. This role will create or curate, document, facilitate and/or train commercial product training across our portfolio of dedicated, virtualized and managed partner cloud platforms. This role will be focused on building the capability of new starters to reduce time to competence and upskilling existing Rackers in the commercial understanding of all platforms we serve. In addition this role will be responsible for delivery of the Mary Gober International accredited Fanatical Support Training.

Key Accountabilities

  • To create/curate, design and deliver commercial product training to support the reduction in time to competence of new starters

  • Collaborate on the design and delivery commercial product training sessions to agreed KPI’s across our portfolio of products and platforms for all Rackers

  • To coach sales reps and service delivery managers 1:1 to reinforce any formal classroom learning to achieve targets and improve individual competency and capability

  • Provide input to the global talent development team to identify and provide solutions to learning needs and to continuously improve performance and realise personal learning potential

  • Identify and optimise all training and facilitation modalities to ensure global scalable solutions are provided.


  • Extensive experience in the delivery and design of commercial product training programmes with a proven measurable achievements

  • Ability to translate and communicate ‘technical’ concepts into commercial positioning language within a sales environment

  • Ability to train the ‘how to sell’ the product and/or services to a customer base ranging from SMB to Enterprise level.

  • Proven capability in the design, curation/creation and documentation of training materials

  • Is curious, embraces change, and demonstrates the ability to challenge the status quo and navigate ambiguity

  • Ideally understands Rackspace product offering inc Partner clouds – AWS, Azure and GoogleSelf-motivated with the ability to deliver under pressure

  • Highly passionate person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as training, facilitation and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage stakeholders across both sales and technical environments

  • Able to learn ‘new’ at speed and translate it into highly impactful learning outcomes

  • Knowledge of training/learning theory and its practical application for accelerated and digital learning techniques

  • Ability to work in a global team and work with and travel to multiple geographies

  • Ideally a proven track record of commercial product training in business to business IT services using proactive outbound sales, telesales or telemarketing teams.

  • IT literate; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as working knowledge of e-learning technologies
