JOB DESCRIPTION:

Rackspace are looking for a bright, self-starter to join the Product Launch team. As a Product Communication Specialist(PCS), you will be responsible for much of the commercial and marketing related activities within Product – International, supporting and enabling our sales, marketing and service delivery teams. Working in partnership with the Product Control Managers, Technical Engagement Managers and Business Engagement Manager, you will update and amend product related collateral for the international regions, maintain and up-to-date international product roadmap, provide advice and guidance on upcoming launches, and help craft local messaging and positioning for products across all International markets, helping ensure the different requirements for each market are addressed.

The PCS will work closely with our Global Product teams; ensuring international needs are incorporated into the Rackspace product roadmap. Attention to detail, excellent spoken and written English and an eye for quality, along with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits, are crucial. PCS work across our entire product portfolio, but can be aligned to a specific product, product category, or business unit if and as required. This role operates across all Rackspace International markets including UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Hong Kong and Australia.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Research and provide feedback on upcoming product releases and updates by reviewing pre-launch materials (meeting minutes, documentation, product bulletins)

  • Attend pre-launch virtual team meetings to represent the International business for launch readiness, market understanding and product positioning from a commercial perspective

  • Execute on internal Go-To-Market plan for each new product launch, collaborating with International Marketing and Product Enablement teams, where relevant, to provide guidance on and messaging for any external Go-To-Market plans

  • Carry out regular product and corporate roadmap briefing meetings with relevant stakeholders

  • Provide content for customer-facing collateral including value propositions, documentation, web content, presentations and marketing brochures

  • Support Marketing on campaigns, events and other activities by providing messaging and positioning guidance as well as authoring and reviewing articles

  • Create, and contribute to internal product launch collateral including cheat sheets, battlecards, wikis and presentations for our commercial teams (Sales / Service Delivery)

  • Ownership and maintenance of international product roadmap, ensuring it is always up to date, and coordinating with global product teams to product quarterly major updates

  • Creation and delivery of weekly international product newsletter, working with global stakeholders across the business to ensure relevant and up to date information is included and driving readership across the international organisation

  • Ownership and maintenance of product bulletin archive, ensuring that all internal product communications are archived and indexed to enable effective searching of content

  • On-going management of product related collateral ensuring all published information and documentation is current and that out-of-date information is removed from public sources (intranet/shared network drives/websites)

  • Sign-off internal communications for major announcements, ensuring accuracy and appropriate messaging

  • Facilitate commercially focused product training and assessments by modifying existing collateral and creating new content where required

  • Liaise with Product Enablement team and suppliers to agree training, review issues, coordinate sales promotions and ensure collateral is accurate

  • Support our Channel Marketing team by participating in events and activities with our channel partners

  • On-going maintenance of internal sales tools content, ensuring product and company information is commercially accurate and current

Qualifications

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Graduate or equivalent commercial experience

  • Experience in writing and presenting a creative briefing

  • Effective with time management and expected deliverables

  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail across all levels of business

  • Refined training and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to organise, prioritise and execute tasks in a consistent, repeatable and reliable manner

  • Ability to build effective working relationships

  • Self-starter with ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule to support and represent Product - International across all Rackspace locations (note that this role does not have expectations of regular travel)

  • Delivery of PCS(internal and external product collateral and strategy / market fit details) to relationship departments (Sales, Service Delivery, Marketing)

  • Maintenance of and widespread awareness of the Rackspace corporate roadmap across the International business

  • Accuracy of product information published on the International Rackspace websites

  • Successful and consistent launch readiness across relationship departments

  • Successful product end of life process management and implementation
