Job Summary:

The Channel Segment Marketing specialist position will align directly to the Vice President of US/CA Channel sales. Major responsibilities include; strong leadership skills, strategic planning and execution in service of the Vice President of Channel and Alliance sales team. This position will work closely with global campaign marketing, field marketing, regional program management, marketing operations, and direct sales. Customer and market analysis, solid presentation skills and managing budget abilities are a must.

As a channel marketer, you work individually and as part of a dynamic team that plans and implements marketing programs to support the sales organization. Key attributes are a positive “can-do” attitude, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work and communicate with team members, Sales, and partners daily. The candidate should be highly collaborative building annual marketing plans and goals, executes flawlessly and measures the results and effectiveness of the marketing programs. The primary intent of the role is to support sales revenue goals for new and existing customers by enabling channel partners via integrated marketing programs and outbound sales plays (leveraging predictive analytics targeting platform) that deliver positive results.


  • Set the marketing vision and strategy that enables channel partners to drive best-in-class integrated marketing programs

  • Become a trusted advisor to the Vice President of Channel Sales, regional marketing program team and global campaign marketing to set the marketing strategy and plan

  • Understand US/CA Channel sales’ business goals and objectives then develop and implement a marketing plan to support the sales goals

  • Develop and execute channel program (either directly in marketing or via enablement of channel partners) that leverage core regional marketing programs or channel sales plays as a means to filing revenue gaps to plan



  • Strong leadership and decision making skills, problem-solving capabilities and ability to see the big picture and alignment to sales and marketing opportunities

  • Excellent collaboration skills in working cross-functionally with channel sales organization, regional program execution, and global channel marketing counterparts

  • Support Americas Marketing initiatives and objectives both directly and via channel partners

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills: lead cross-functional teams to deliver programs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, work on tight deadlines and keep all programs on schedule

  • Regularly attend sales calls and Quarterly Business Reviews for supported regions

  • Track and measure activities and programs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Manage and track budget to align with marketing and sales key goals and objectives

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required. MBA a plus. At least 10 years of experience in a fast-paced B2B environment, preferably in the IT industry. Experience with Salesforce and Marketo is required. Inbound and outbound startup marketing experience preferred.
