Overview & Responsibilities
The Manager, Online Sales leads an onboarding team where new Rackers in the Online Sales organization will sit for their first 3-6 months. The manager is responsible for training the Inbound and Outbound lead generation Rackers so that they are ready to assume their full responsibilities on their permanent team. The manager is also responsible for continuing education and training for all Rackers in the Online Sales organization. The manager will be required to train new Rackers on all Online Sales processes and procedure and ensure high quality of work from all Rackers while also providing improvements and feedback to direct managers.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Excellent knowledge of Rackspace's products, services, pricing practices, and demand generation process. Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation, organization and coaching skills. Superior follow up skills with the ability to respond under pressure. Strong leadership skills. Ability to coach and assist in training reps to qualify excellent customer leads. Strong understating of ROE’s and how to train on Lead Gen process. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Oversees development of new hires to the Online Specialist/SDR/ISR roles. Trains on lead generation process, products, job specific duties, and provides mock scenarios for all new hires. Provides continued education for people in role around Product Launches, updates, process/routing changes. Provides feedback on lead generation productivity and quality assurance for phone calls/chats/emails to specific managers. Provides feedback for half year and yearly reviews to managers. Coordinates appropriate company resources to ensure efficient and consistent lead generation training and education. Responsible for posting all changes to process on Lead Gen Wiki and staying abreast of any changes to products, process, or ROEs and communicating these changes to the entire lead generation team.
SUPERVISION: Operates under supervision of Director and Inbound/Outbound managers.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing strongly preferred. 2 years sales management experience strongly preferred. 5 years successful new business sales experience, preferably in a technology related industry. Business to business sales experience. Experience working in large complex selling environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required.
