Overview & Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the design, quality assurance, execution, measurement, and maintenance of automated marketing programs using Marketo and Salesforces.com. Works closely with sales and marketing to maximize the effectiveness of marketing automation to drive both quantity and quality of leads, to improve conversion opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Basic understanding of Marketing Automation, CRM, and other marketing business systems. Basic understanding of workflow processes and systems within a marketing/sales cycle. Basic knowledge of data standardization and normalization. Basic knowledge of the design and Quality Assurance of lead scoring and multi-tiered programs. General knowledge of HTML, with a basic understanding of SFA and MAP administration. Basic data evaluation skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing solutions and business decisions. Basic project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies and risk factors. Strong process diagramming skills (e.g. Visio). Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work to meet competing deadlines. Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Segments and leverages the marketing database for efficient and effective campaign targeting. Assists with designing lead generation programs, lead-nurturing programs, lead scoring, customer research, and automated communication programs. Maintains a marketing dashboard of key performance indicators that is automatically updated to reflect current marketing activity. Distills data from analytics and recommends improvements to our lead generation programs. Updates marketing campaign workflows as changes to business requirements dictate. Monitors, analyzes, and reports on performance of each and every campaign and communicates results to key stakeholders. Cleanses and uploads contact lists into the marketing automation platform. Documents functional requirements into technical details to ensure solutions are delivered to meet the needs of the business. Assists in the development of training documentation. Helps coordinate all staging and production releases. Documents marketing automation processes, programs, and procedures. Provides weekly, quarterly, and yearly lead-to-revenue metrics to marketing management.
SUPERVISION: Operates under close supervision
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or other technology related field required. 1 – 2 years of marketing experience, including experience working with marketing automation platforms for demand creation related activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required. Occasional domestic travel, less than 10%.
