Rackspace Professional Services Solutions & Operations Analyst in Austin, Texas

Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sales Operations Analyst ready to join our Professional Services - Solution Services team aimed at defining our solutions and partnering across Sales to help new and existing customers evaluate and choose the best solutions for their digital transformations.

In this role you will field Professional Services (PS) opportunity requests and be a key component in the PS opportunity process, tracking opportunities during the entire PS sales process. The team will rely on you to monitor monthly/quarterly forecast and respective activities associated to current and future pipeline as well as monthly/quarterly forecast and performance metrics with the PS service catalog. You will contribute to the development and evolution of the PS solution performance and sales metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs opportunity intake review for required information, works with Seller to provide required information

  • Review opportunities for requirements / competency and assign PS Solution Architect for pre-sale activities

  • Maintains the opportunity repository, validates Salesforce entries and maintains the opportunity data

  • Works closely with Solution Architects to update information and assist in gathering information and providing the right solution to the customer

  • Validate and enter information into Salesforce and SharePoint, update tracking phase of opportunities as needed

  • Keep Salesforce updated

  • Manage and provide visibility around leading indicators of future pipeline development and revenue generation (i.e. activity-based measures).

  • Manage and monitor opportunities and professional services solutions by sales phase, pipeline, wins, losses, sales person, offering, bookings compared to revenue, follow-on MMR

  • Analyze sales performance metrics for assigned teams

  • Work closely with highly engaged sales team as well as the various supporting teams.

  • Maintain communication with Solution Architects, Sellers, Project Managers and other PS team members to ensure confidence, trust, communication and collaboration

Qualifications

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Advanced skills in tracking plan effectiveness.

  • Proficient in Salesforce.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to apply knowledge and best practices to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.

  • Knowledgeable in sales process.

  • Possesses superior follow up skills with the ability to respond under pressure.

  • Able to work to objectives and targets, and effectively communicate over the phone, through email and face-to-face.

  • High attention to detail and be capable of performing complex data analysis

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Math, Business or a related field required. At the manager’s discretion, a High School diploma (or equivalent) plus an additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

  • 2 - 4 years of related industry experience required which may include data analytics, reporting, sales operations

  • Sales experience in hosting, SAAS, or Cloud Computing industry preferred

  • Previous experience with forecasting required, experience with financial analysis a plus
