Rackspace is looking for an SAP Business Systems Consultant to join our team. As an SAP Consultant withMII, MM, PP, and or/ SD knowledge, you will work closely with a diverse customer base balancing a workload among many customers on a daily basis. In this role, you will work to understand business needs and develop solutions for our enterprise applications. Our SAP Business Systems Consultants will understand customer goals and objectives and utilizes knowledge of systems and tools to help meet goals and drive efficiency within the customer business processes, systems and tools. Understands the customer’s business operations and strategies and the customer’s operating industry, and how applications drive business results.

This position is based in Berwyn, PA although, consideration will be given for exceptional remote candidates.

JOB COMPLEXITY:

  • Understands and documents current state for customer application processes and configurations.

  • Documents desired state, identifies opportunities, assesses available technologies, and advises customer on system capabilities and options to reach desired state.

  • Advises customer on efficiencies and process improvements to consider based on application capabilities, best practices, and understanding of customer business objectives.

  • Proactively identifies issues and roadblocks and addresses through customer consultation prior to solution implementation.

In this role you will:

  • Work independently to design and configure solutions to meet the business requirements in the related areas such asMII,Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM),Sales & Distribution (SD) and in custom solutions like Recipe Management Applications, scheduling software, Real-time Operations Management Software.

  • Actively manage relationships with business and functional groups (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain Planning and Quality)

  • Serves as a liaison between customer and technical team to implement solutions, resolve questions, and assist with training

  • Manages the testing and application of systems configurations in line with project time frames

  • Analyzes results of application testing to ensure solution matches the documented business need

  • Develops training outlines for end users

  • Works with solutions architects and technical SMEs to translate project requirements into solution designs, project estimates, and activity plans

  • Creates project/customer engagement documentation. Works within team to identify and resolve common issues with internal processes

  • Occasional domestic travel, less than 20%

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, business systems consulting experience preferred.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience working with SAP MII with participation in different phases of an MII project with a multinational Company

  • Strong knowledge and/or previous experience of enterprise applications in one or more modules/systems (SAP –MM/PP or SD module)

  • Ability to apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve business process and procedural problems.

  • Advanced communication skills; oral, written and presentation.

  • Ability to communicate technical information and ideas so others will understand.

  • Advanced working knowledge of business process and operations. Ability to understand the interaction between functions and applications into the wider business scope.

  • Strong time-management skills. Solid decision-making skills and the ability to influence others individually and in groups to consensus.
