Rackspace is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect (Linux) to join our team full time.

Rackspace’s recently formed Fanatical Support for AWS team are looking to hire an AWS Evangelist to engage with the technology community and drive thought leadership and support evangelism efforts for the Fanatical Support for AWS business at Rackspace. Responsible for driving awareness and adoption of managed services offerings focused on AWS, the core mission of this role is to assist relevant business and technical influencers, media and analysts, customers, IT Pro’s and partners in understanding the technical strategy, competitive differentiation and core value proposition of Fanatical Support for AWS and the AWS platform.
The successful candidate would have the opportunity to act as a face for Rackspace’s Fanatical Support for AWS business, blog/tweet/speak at relevant industry events, develop relationships with key influencers and thought leaders, engage with Rackspace’s Product/Solutions Architecture/Support groups on adoption of key initiatives.
Solid technical background with a strong subject matter expertise in AWS and cloud computing.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
Ability to excite, influence, and motivate others.
Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds.
Ability to simplify and elevate deep technical topics.
Deep knowledge and understanding of technology trends and competitive landscape.
Knowledge of the technology communities, leaders and emerging technologies.

Ability to live and exemplify Fanatical Support
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology or a related field required. Experience may substitute for a degree requirement at the equivalency of 3 years of experience to 1 year of education.
Requires a minimum of 10 years of combined technical support experience and pre-sales technical support experience.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Level minimum, ideally Professional Level
