Rackspace Director, Sales Analytics in San Antonio, Texas

Overview & Responsibilities

Position Overview

  • Develop and Drive insights and analytics in sales and customer data for global company.

  • Own and drive improvement for Sales KPIs, including but not limited to bookings, pipeline, people, performance, for both historical and predictive states.

  • Evangelize Sales requirements and partner with key business stakeholders to drive reports, analytics and automation

  • Experienced leader of analytical teams; optimize the work across team members and develop team members. Technical experience – SFDC, SQL, etc.…


Leads Sales Analytics teams towards strategic goals and objectives. Provides strategic planning for Sales Analytics department and contributes to strategic planning for Sales Operations organization.

  • Regularly interacts with executives and major stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the client’s business situation and develop data driven insights that can be understood and implemented to drive sales and revenue

  • Advises senior leadership on developing and implementing strategic objectives. Deep knowledge of the sales and sales operations.

  • Ability to develop strategic outputs in response to complex issues, based on goals and objectives.

  • Align to the overall business strategy when driving the direction of the team, projects, and processes

  • Provide overall direction to the development of advanced analytic solutions and strategies to new and existing customers

  • Manage project requirements, analytic plans, SOWs, project timelines, and other related materials for the management of deliverables

  • Presentation of results and recommendations; particularly the ability to craft a coherent vision from complex output and data

  • An ability to convey complex results in an easy to understand, thematic manner

  • Manage multiple resources and projects to ensure successful completion of analytic projects

  • Formulate insights, championing and driving insights into action

  • Explore and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell existing customers; data driven analytics to identify targets within acquisition accounts

  • Prioritize and monitor project progress against goals

  • Participate in enhancements of analytic offerings and creation of new internal practice standards

  • Leverage your expertise to research, recommend, and implement the best analytic approaches to solving problems and streamline work

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Deep knowledge of the sales and sales operations. Ability to develop strategic outputs in response to complex issues, based on the sales organization’s goals and objectives.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, or related field. 12+ years’ experience in data analytics, modeling

  • A minimum of 5 years in people manager or supervisory positions.

  • Proven experience delivering a wide variety of analytic solutions to executive stakeholders

  • Experience planning, priority setting and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources

  • Proven experience influencing a sales strategy through data driven analytics

  • Strong ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations with data driven analytics, which effectively drive additional sales bookings and revenue

  • Hands on experience with large data sets

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Qlikview, Tableau, etc.)

  • Understanding of SFDC/CRM data structures


  • Strong technology knowledge

  • Sales Acumen skill set (familiar with key sales processes and how to impact via great sales reporting, analytics, insights and predictive modeling)

  • Proficient at developing professional relationships at various levels (executive and peer) and with numerous stakeholders (technical, sales, marketing, etc.)

  • Technical experience – SFDC, SQL, etc.

  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
