Overview & Responsibilities
Global Travel Coordinator for Rackspace. Responsible for managing the vendor relationship, negotiations, and works as a business partner with our global travel and service providers. Serve as the primary interface between the Rackers, Rackspace strategic sourcing team, and suppliers to ensure that sourcing needs are met.
Basic to expert knowledge of T&E principles and practices. Prior knowledge of Oracle preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required. Experience in managing a global travel program, handling multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize and highly varied work level in order to maintain required productivity levels. Basic understanding of supplier management techniques. Strong project management skills. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
Responsible for researching and gathering data, assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support global supply chain management planning and operations. Uses advanced analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or other relevant field required. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Minimum 3-5 years analytical experience, preferably in a Supply Chain role. Requires experience in contract law and/or contract negotiations.
