Overview & Responsibilities
We have a fantastic opportunity in our Rackspace Marketing team to offer a creative and energetic self-starter an opportunity to take that next step in their digital marketing career. Reporting into the Programs Marketing Manager ANZ, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of digital campaigns to educate, attract, acquire, retain, and grow new and existing customers. They would be part of creating real impact working for a fast-paced, growing, ambitious managed service provider. This may suit a marketer with a few years general marketing experience under their belt who has an understanding of digital but looking to take that next step in specialising in digital marketing.
Manage the daily operations and performance of SEM, Display and Paid Social campaigns in ANZ with Rackspace’s digital agency of record and secondary supporting agencies.
Generate awareness for the Rackspace brand and solution areas in ANZ through the optimal mix of digital channels.
Maintaining and optimizing Rackspace social media accounts including LinkedIn and Twitter in line with content strategy and demand generation tactics.
Maintain the local website to ensure high quality traffic and engagement with our buyers in line with SEO best practice and ensuring campaign messaging alignment
Collaborate with the regional and head office web teams to nurture local objectives and continuously improve the website and drive high quality traffic and engagement
Interact with the Sales Development Team to ensure strong and consistent process around management of digital leads that will inform ongoing optimisation of the website, Paid Search and Content campaigns
Coordinate optimal utilisation of partner Market Development funds and integration of digital campaigns (Paid Search and Paid Social) with all demand generation tactics.
Work alongside the Communications Manager and international web teams to determine suitable brand and messaging for display advertising.
Ownership of a continuous improvement loop across all stakeholders (digital agency of record, 3 rd party platforms and the marketing team) to ensure learnings and insights from digital channels inform all demand generation tactics.
Manage all monthly reporting and all agency Quarterly Business Reviews to drive meaningful insights from the data to continuously improve our digital G2M channels.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years marketing experience, ideally gained within B2B services but not essential.
Understanding and experience of the customer buying cycle and persona based target audiences is desired
Experience in applying digital marketing best practices, tactics and tools with a basic knowledge of the latest developments in this space, particularly social media (preferred)
Search Engine Marketing and SEO experience, either working independently or very closely with digital marketing agencies
Experience in Display advertising, for prospecting as well as retargeting. Experience in creating messaging is not essential.
A curiosity in experimenting with new tools, channels, categorization and/or messaging
Strong communication skills in email, copywriting, presentation, and verbal
Candidate must thrive working in an entrepreneurial, hands-on team environment, but also be a self-starter having the ability to think on their feet and work under their own initiativ
